My wife and I love to do everything we can to make our daughter happy, healthy, and well-educated.  When she was born 10 years ago, we gladly put aside many of the things we loved to do together because we had a new order of preferences.  Parties, dances, and romantic get-aways were set aside for Disney movies, children stories, and family activities. 

This week my wife and I get to contribute to our daughter’s education by going on a spectatular date.  Really.  My daughter’s private school, Carden Academy, is hosting ”The Fab 50s” Spring Dinner Fundraiser.  We are promised great food and music.  The ticket price is high, but all the money goes to the school and its teachers.  

I don’t know much about 50s music (Elvis? Little Richard?), but my wife and I both love to dance, so we should get a good deal of exercise.  And to keep in shape, I might as well make this date thing happen more often.
